The Concert Band is open to all band students. All students in the Concert Band must posses basic playing proficiency. Students receive an overview of music theory and develop the technical skills needed to advance into Wind Ensemble. Students are held to the same standards and expectations of the Wind Ensemble. The Concert Band prepares and performs music for concerts and festivals throughout the school year.

Membership carries the following responsibilities:

1. Attendance at all rehearsals, sectionals, clinics, and performances

2. Performance of concert and festival music

3. Maintain academic eligibility

4. Abide by all Gahr Instrumental Music Program handbook policies

All students must enroll in the Marching Band (Course #1720) to participate.
