2ND SEMESTER!
Congratulations on finishing an entire semester of virtual learning!! Special thanks to special guest Dr. Betancourt who came in last week! We’ve got a lot of exciting things planned for 2nd semester, including guest speakers/performers and fun virtual performances.
We are asking all students for a $150 donation due by next Friday, February 5th, to help cover these costs for 2nd semester, as well as in-class coaching, new music, and end-of-year awards. Please click here to make this payment online.

ABC VIRTUAL HONOR BAND
Planning has begun for the 2021 ABC Virtual Honor Band! This is a wonderful opportunity for winds and percussionists to work with an incredible guest conductor on new and challenging literature. We are currently aiming for just one piece and two Zoom rehearsals in an effort to lower the time commitment required. Don’t miss out on this fun and exciting experience!

WIND SECTIONALS
This week we will be finalizing the wind sectional schedule for second semester. In addition to being part of your class grade, sectionals are a valuable way to make improvements and get extra help in a small group setting. Please make sure you reserve this time in your schedule. Based on the student surveys, these are a few changes for this semester:
Sectionals are typically once every two weeks with a focus on advanced technique, solo repertoire, and concert music.
Sectionals will be run by a private teacher whenever possible.
After school sectionals will begin at 2PM. When possible, we might have sectionals during your class period.
We are aiming for 45 minutes of group instruction, followed by 15 minutes for extra help.

KEEPSAKE PILLOWS
Our old marching band uniforms have been transformed into beautiful, keepsake pillows! Each pillow is $65, approximately 15” x 15”, and is professionally handmade. Pillows are currently in production and there are a limited number available. Pre-ordering now guarantees your spot in line as soon as they arrive.
