FINALS WEEK
It’s finals week! We’ve almost made it through an entire semester of virtual learning!! We will be rolling out a more detailed schedule soon of what we have planned for 2nd semester. With things looking more and more like we will be online for all of next semester, the staff have planned more section coaches (during school when possible), guest speakers/soloists, and fun projects like a Star Wars concert! Please note that we are asking each student for a $150 donation for 2nd semester, due Friday, February 5th.
STUDENTS: Make sure you continue studying and turn in your work for all your classes. Please note that tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19th is EVEN periods and Thursday, January 21st is ODD periods. On Thursday during 7th period we’ll have our 1st guest speaker of 2021 - Dr. Betancourt from Cerritos College!!

2ND SEMESTER DONATION
In order to continue to provide outstanding experiences and the best education possible, there is a $150 donation for second semester due no later than Friday, February 5th. Your donation helps pay for coaches, music, and activities for the rest of the school year. We are planning to continue having instructors on a weekly basis for all classes, but are unable to do this without your donation.
We accept checks made to "Gahr Band Boosters," cash, or you can make the donation online.

KEEPSAKE PILLOWS
Our marching band uniforms have been transformed into beautiful, keepsake pillows for you to remember your time in the band! Each pillow is $65, approximately 15” x 15”, and is professionally handmade. The pillows are currently in production, but due to demand with the company, they are taking longer than expected. However, pre-ordering now guarantees your spot in line as soon as they arrive.

ABC VIRTUAL HONOR BAND
Planning has begun for an ABC Virtual Honor Band! This is a wonderful opportunity for winds and percussionists to work with a guest conductor on new and challenging literature!! We are currently aiming for just one piece and two Zoom rehearsals in an effort to lower the time commitment required. Don’t miss out on this fun and exciting experience!
