SEE’s CANDY FUNDRAISER ENDS THIS FRIDAY 3/19 🍫
Our See’s Candy Spring Fundraiser ends this Friday, March 19th! This is a great way to raise money towards your donations, as well as give your family and friends an opportunity to purchase some delicious chocolate in time for Easter! Students can earn between 20-50% profit (depending on the item). There is zero contact and all buyers arrange for direct shipping on the website.
In order to track student sales, you must set up a “Yumraising” account. Mrs. Casatro sent out a link to students in order to set up your own personal storefront. If you need help setting up your account, please contact Mrs. Castro through email at juliacruz11@hotmail.com or phone at (818) 389-8274.
IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO PARTICIPATE!! As of today, with just 49 orders, students have already raised $744.85! Share your link on social media, email out to family and friends, or have your parents text their coworkers the link to support you. If you do not need to raise any money but still want to support the band, please purchase candy using our booster storefront:

ON-CAMPUS PRACTICE 👟
The district is now allowing outdoor sports to practice, including percussion and color guard. We have been working closely with our school administrators and athletic director to ensure all the procedures are in place for an optional, weekly practice. Thank you to everyone who turned in their COVID-19 Waiver already.
If you would like to participate in after school practice, you must download, print, and sign the COVID-19 District Waiver Form and email it to Mr. Loney at darren.loney@abcusd.us. Please bring a physical hardcopy of this form when you check in at your first, in-person practice.
Please make sure you have turned in your program donations so we will be able to pay our instructors for the additional rehearsals. Once we have finished clearing our instructional staff and have collected waiver forms from participating students, we plan to start up the following tentative, optional, weekly schedule:
ALL PERCUSSION: Mondays from 3:00-4:30PM
COLOR GUARD: Thursdays from 3:00-4:30PM
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
REMINDERS/PROTOCOLS:
Students must be dropped off and picked up on time.
Students stay a minimum of 6 feet apart at all times, including during water breaks and before and after practice.
Students must check in with Mr. Loney and complete a daily screening and temperature check. No late students will be allowed into the rehearsal.
Students and instructors wear masks correctly at all times.
All percussion and color guard will enter and exit through the band gate.
Any student with COVID-19 symptoms is to stay home and not come to practice.
Any student not following these protocols and procedures will no longer be allowed to participate.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This currently only applies to color guard and percussion; however, it is looking more hopeful for wind students to be able to play in-person! We should be getting some guidelines and band PPE from the district soon. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

SENIOR GRADUATION STOLES PAST DUE 🎓
Band and Color Guard seniors who have been in the program for 8-semesters are eligible for a graduation stole. You must be an active member of the music program and have at least a 2.0 GPA. This year, you’ll be able to log on to the Gahr Webstore and purchasing your stole for $40. The deadline for orders was March 8th. Once you’ve purchased a stole, the boosters will be helping cover the embroidery costs.

2ND SEMESTER DONATION PAST DUE
The 2nd semester donation of $150 was due Friday, February 5th. We are unable to continue to afford coaches, music, or end-of-year awards without your donation. This donation is also critical for us to be able to have optional, in-person rehearsals and summer practice. If you need to work out additional fundraisers or a payment plan, please email Mr. Darren Loney, Director of Bands, at darren.loney@abcusd.us. Thank you.
