PLEASE READ BELOW FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING THE 2025 TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE. ACTION ITEM: MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE FINAL LIST BELOW FOR YOUR NAME IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ROSE PARADE.

Please note that we will NOT be having Battery or Front Ensemble practice this coming Wednesday, July 3rd. Have a fun and safe 4th of July with your families!

ROSE PARADE – FINAL CALL!

Are you ready for the BEST DAY EVER??! If you are planning to be a part of the 2025 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, the final deadline to be completely signed up, sized for a uniform/costume, and have the deposit of $225 paid is this Monday, July 1st. There is no wiggle room here – this is technically an outside group that is not part of our program or boosters, and the money is being used to start production on the uniforms.

Don’t miss your last chance to be part of the 490+ students that will be in the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade! You’ll be performing on the world’s largest stage to over 50 million viewers. In addition to marching in the Tournament of Roses Parade, you will also be performing at Disneyland and the Tournament of Rose’s “Bandfest.” This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the “Best Day Ever!”

Being in the 605 All-Star Band is OPTIONAL. There is a separate rehearsal schedule for the 605 All-Star Band and total cost of $572. This breaks down to $375 to cover items such as the uniform/costume, shako wrap, music, flags, banners, and instruction, and $197 for Disneyland. There are NO REFUNDS for this group. DCI SO CAL CLASSIC: OPEN CLASS PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

PROGRAM DONATIONS

The student contribution for the marching band is $675. This includes major items such as instructional staff throughout the year, equipment and instruments, production costs, music, costumes, and food. This specialized instruction inspires students to keep at it, a valuable skill they can apply to their other classes. This donation can be paid all at once, or broken down into the following payment schedule:

1st Donation $225 - Due Monday, July 22, 2024
2nd Donation $150 - Due Friday, August 16, 2024
3rd Donation $150 - Due Friday, September 20, 2024
4th Donation $150 - Due Friday, October 18, 2024

ATHLETIC CLEARANCE DUE 7/22

All students need to complete athletic clearance through FamilyID BEFORE Monday, July 22nd. FYI – all students will eventually need to purchase an ASB card and pay the transportation fee, but you can wait to do this at Gahr High School registration – tentatively for band and color guard on Wednesday, July 31st.
