ALL OUTSTANDING DONATION PAST DUE

ALL OUTSTANDING DONATIONS FOR THE FALL MARCHING BAND, JV GUARD, VARSITY GUARD, AND WINTER DRUMLINE ARE PAST DUE. It is truly incredible what our students have accomplished so far this year; however, this would not be possible without our instructional staff that are currently funded entirely by your donations. We will NOT be able to pay our instructors, purchase our End-of-Year awards, or begin working on our fall 2023 production without money. We accept cash, checks made payable to “Gahr Band Boosters,” or you can pay online through the website. You can also use this link to pay a specific amount.

PARENT UPDATE AND NEXT BOOSTER MEETING 5/3

I would like to thank all the parents who have been consistently doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes preparing and serving lunches, transporting equipment and props, and so much more. The students and music program would not be able to be as successful as we are without your help. I also want to thank parents who have been going above and beyond by supporting students that are not your own. Examples of this are “band” parents serving lunch for a guard" rehearsal (or vice versa), going to watch the Jazz Band or JV Guard even though your own child is not in it, or staying to watch and support for other schools besides Gahr. These things makes a huge difference for our overall music program and the performing arts!

Thank you to everyone who came to last week’s Hawaii Parent/Student Meeting! We would also like to thank everyone who supported the program by eating at Frantone’s on Thursday. Please join us next Wednesday, May 3rd at 6:30PM for our monthly Parent Booster Meeting! We’re on the home stretch as we prepare for the Area Concert, annual Basket Raffle, End-of-Year Awards Banquet, and Hawaii Performance Trip! If you can come early, we’ll be working on putting the gift baskets together at 4:30PM. See you there!!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Thanks for a great meeting last week. We’re counting down the days until we’ll be in the Aloha State! These were the handouts from the meeting. ALL BAND STUDENTS need to order a 2023 Hawaii T-shirt ($15) and have a Gahr Band polo shirt ($25). ALL GUARD STUDENTS only need the 2023 Hawaii T-shirt (no polo). ALL STUDENTS need to have a pair of khaki shorts for performances. If you already own a pair of khaki shorts you can use those or you can use the Amazon links below to order.
