Thank you to everyone who came to the Hawaii Send-Off Concert & BBQ yesterday! Thank you to the students for all their hard work leading up to the performance. Finally, thank you to our amazing booster parents for doing a fantastic job making the event run smoothly! Special thanks to Artesia Mayor, Monica Manalo, for stopping by.

FINAL REMINDERS:
We do not recommend leaving your vehicle at Gahr during the trip. Please get dropped off or schedule an Uber/Lyft.
Remember to bring an ID. This can be a current US passport, a Driver’s License or state issued ID or, for those under age 18, a student photo ID.
Liquids/toiletries must be smaller than 3.4 ounces. They must be placed in a quart size zip-lock bag.
The hotel has towels that you can borrow for the beach and pool, so you do not need to pack one.
Do not bring valuables that you do not want stolen on the trip.
Make sure you have your instrument/equipment/music binder and you actually see it get loaded.
You are only allowed to bring one carry-on bag that fits in the overhead bin and one personal item (like a backpack). Students may not check luggage under the plane.
When visiting Pearl Harbor, backpacks, purses, fanny packs are not allowed unless they are clear.
Review the carry-on luggage rules for your particular airline:
America Airlines - https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/baggage/carry-on-baggage.jsp
Delta - https://www.delta.com/us/en/baggage/carry-on-baggage
Southwest - https://www.southwest.com/help/baggage/carryon-baggageIf you are a student flying on Southwest, we will be asking you to check instruments/equipment.
Remember it is an honor to be representing the Gahr Marching Gladiators and Gahr High School. Keep it classy!

REMIND ANNOUNCEMENTS
FLIGHT MANIFEST
Please click here to download the flight manifest. We are traveling on three separate airlines — American, Delta, and Southwest. We will be checking all of the instruments/equipment on the Southwest flight. Students flying on Southwest will be assigned an item to check and will be responsible for it for the trip. You will be traveling to/from the airport on three busses that correspond to your airline. Please note that all the instruments/equipment will need to go in the storage for the Southwest bus.

FINAL ITINERARY
Please click here to download the final itinerary for the trip. This has the updated groups/times for the snorkeling/catamaran, tour of University of Hawaii, Diamond Head, and Waikiki Aquarium. It also has the attire listed for the performance at the Ala Moana Center and the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
HOTEL ROOMING LIST
Please click here to download the hotel rooming list for the trip. Just a reminder that students must be in a group of four or more when outside of the hotel, even if your room only has three students in it. Once chaperones check rooms for the night, students are to stay in their room until a chaperone releases them in the morning. Please be respectful and aware that there are other paying guests on either side of your rooms. When in the hotel, students may not hang out on other floors besides their own. Students may always use the lobby as a hang out or meeting place to get into a group of four.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
THREE GROUPS FOR EXCURSIONS
Sometimes on the trip, we will need to divide into three groups for excursions. Mrs. Varney had the nearly impossible task of trying to accommodate for summer school students, keeping hotel rooms together, and putting family and friends together. Please click here for the final list for the three groups (as well as the bento box meal choice for the snorkeling day).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PACKING LIST
Please click here to download the updated packing list. As long as you plan ahead, it might be easier to buy some items when you get to Hawaii (i.e. towel, reef-safe sunscreen, etc.). All performing students will need to bring their own pair of khaki shorts and the Hawaii t-shirt (this will be handed out after Saturday’s rehearsal). All winds and percussionists will also need the black Gahr Band polo shirt. Color Guard will wear the Hawaii t-shirt for both performances. Most meals are included, but we recommend to bring between $100-150 spending money to cover additional food and souvenirs.
