MARCHING BAND WORKSHOPS 6/14-16!

Marching Band Workshops are this Tuesday-Thursday, June 14-16th from 4-8PM each day at Ross Middle School! Workshops are MANDATORY for all students and are where your student will learn warm ups, basic training, and music/choreography for the field show. Please arrive by 3:30PM each day so we can check you in. On Thursday, we will end rehearsal with a special treat!! ๐Ÿฆ

Things to bring:

  • Water (1-gallon jug preferred) ๐Ÿ’ง

  • Hat (preferably something with a wide brim) ๐Ÿงข

  • Instrument/sticks/flag if you have your own ๐ŸŽท

  • Comfortable clothes (shorts & t-shirt) ๐Ÿ‘•

  • Athletic shoes (no sandals or converse) ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

  • 3-ring binder and pencil (for winds & percussion) โœ๏ธ

  • $35 to check out a school instrument ๐ŸŽบ

  • $100 Deposit for Hawaii trip ๐Ÿ

  • A friend! (no experience is required) ๐Ÿ˜€

HAWAII DEPOSIT OF $100 DUE THURSDAY 6/16
We are thrilled to announce that we will be traveling to perform in Hawaii next summer!
The trip includes accommodations for 6 days and 5 nights, a performance at the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, a clinic at the University of Hawaii, a visit to Diamond Head State Monument, a dolphin and snorkeling excursion, a luau, and more! This deposit will be applied to your final payment and is refundable if the trip does not happen. Please turn in cash or a check made payable to โ€œGahr Band Boosters.โ€

DCI ROSE BOWL GROUP TICKET DEADLINE THURSDAY 6/16
On Saturday, June 25th, we will be carpooling to see drum corps LIVE at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena!
This is an awesome experience and youโ€™ll get to see some of the top professional marching groups in the country including Blue Devils and Santa Clara Vanguard. The deadline to get tickets at the group price of $20 per person is Thursday, June 16th. You can bring in cash to Mr. Loney or click here to pay online.

ATHLETIC CLEARANCE DUE 7/22
All students will need to complete their athletic clearance through FamilyID by July 22nd:

All students must get a physical exam every year. Print this form and take it with you to your physical. If you do not complete your athletic clearance, you will not be enrolled in band or color guard. All students will also need to purchase an ASB card and pay for transportation, but this can also be done during Gahr High School registration.
