Congratulations to the Winter Guard on an amazing final performance at WGASC Championships!! There were many obstacles to overcome this season, but the growth and improvement especially this last week was incredible! Check out this video of the broadcast from FloMarching! A huge thank you to our Color Guard reps Aymee Abreu and Irma Cuevas for their hard work and dedication to the students — we could not have done it without you!!! Thank you to all the parents and alumni who helped yesterday and throughout the season. Also thank you to Jerry Islas who has been taking great photos and videos all our performances so far this year :)

This week will begin combining the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble together to prepare for the Area Concert and End-of-Year Concert. Combined Band rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5PM for the next few weeks as we learn new music. Please support the program by going to 7 Leaves with this flyer on Wednesday 4/27 from 7AM-11PM! This Friday, the Jazz Band will be participating in a Music in the Parks Festival — performing at Placentia Presbyterian Church at 12:30PM (free and open to public) and then going to Knott’s Berry Farm to finish the day!

ANNUAL GIFT BASKET RAFFLE — Our annual gift basket raffle IS BACK!!! We’re asking for donations to put together our annual gift basket raffle!! This year we will have FOUR fantastic, themed baskets. The baskets will be on display in the Band Room and you can purchase raffle tickets beginning the week of May 9th. The winners will be drawn on Wednesday evening, May 18th at the Area Concert in Gahr High School Gym!
Each student is responsible for donating at least ONE basket item. The items will be put into themed gift baskets to raise money for the music program. PLEASE DONATE ONE ITEM BY YOUR STUDENT’S SECTION:

JAZZ BAND “MUSIC IN THE PARKS” — Friday, April 29th the Jazz Band will be performing in the “Music in the Parks” Festival! Students perform off-site at a festival and then go to Knott’s Berry farm for free time and the awards ceremony. We will meet 1st period in the Band Room (wear jazz concert attire and bring change of clothes). Bring money for an early lunch stop and a few meals in the park. Each student in the jazz band needs to turn in $75 to Mr. Loney to cover the festival and Knott’s ticket. UPDATE: If you have a Knott’s Season Pass, please turn in $40 to pay for the festival portion. MONEY IS DUE TO MR. LONEY TOMORROW, FRIDAY, APRIL 22ND AT OUR REHEARSAL FROM 9AM-12PM.
