Thank you to everyone who came to last Tuesday’s ABC Jazz Showcase and Thursday’s Drumline & Guard Spring Showcase! A huge congratulations to the Winter Drumline on an incredible season and for finishing with a bronze medal at SCPA Finals!! The last Winter Guard rehearsal is tomorrow from 9AM-5PM (bring $5 for lunch). Jazz Band also has a rehearsal tomorrow from 9AM-12PM to prepare for the “Music in the Parks” Festival on 4/29. We will be combining the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble together for the Area Concert and End-of-Year Concert. Combined Band rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5PM for the next few weeks as we learn and prepare new music. We have a 7 Leaves Fundraiser this Wednesday 4/27 from 7AM-11PM! Our annual gift basket raffle IS BACK!!! Gift Basket Donation Items are due this Friday 4/29.

WINTER GUARD @ WGASC FINALS THIS SATURDAY 4/23 AT UCI BREN EVENTS CENTER — CALL TIME IS 9:00AM IN FULL COSTUME WITH HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE — DO NOT BE LATE. We will carpool to the UCI Bren Events Center, warm up, and perform at 2:35PM. Our final MANDATORY rehearsal is this Friday 9AM-5PM.
ALL MEMBERS SHOULD BE CAUGHT UP WITH ALL DONATIONS AT THIS POINT (BALANCE OF $0). This is crucial so we are able to pay our instructors and for production costs. ANNUAL GIFT BASKET RAFFLE — It’s finally that time again!! We’re asking for donations to put together our annual gift basket raffle!! This year we will have FOUR fantastic, themed baskets. The baskets will be on display in the Band Room and you can purchase raffle tickets beginning the week of May 9th. The winners will be drawn on Wednesday evening, May 18th at the Area Concert in Gahr High School Gym!
Each student is responsible for donating at least ONE basket item. The items will be put into themed gift baskets to raise money for the music program. PLEASE DONATE ONE ITEM BY YOUR STUDENT’S SECTION:

JAZZ BAND “MUSIC IN THE PARKS” — Friday, April 29th the Jazz Band will be performing in the “Music in the Parks” Festival! Students perform off-site at a festival and then go to Knott’s Berry farm for free time and the awards ceremony. We will meet 1st period in the Band Room (wear jazz concert attire and bring change of clothes). Bring money for an early lunch stop and a few meals in the park. Each student in the jazz band needs to turn in $75 to Mr. Loney to cover the festival and Knott’s ticket. UPDATE: If you have a Knott’s Season Pass, please turn in $40 to pay for the festival portion. MONEY IS DUE TO MR. LONEY TOMORROW, FRIDAY, APRIL 22ND AT OUR REHEARSAL FROM 9AM-12PM.
