HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT THIS THURSDAY!
Our Holiday Band Concert is this Thursday at 7:00PM at Whitney HS! Get in the holiday spirit with music from the bands of Gahr High School. We have a few special surprises and you won’t want to miss it!!
Come hungry because we’ll have concessions, tamales, and refreshments. We'll also have merchandise, including brand new “MAD SCIENCE” Christmas ornaments and our new 2023 Gahr Marching Gladiators wall calendar! WINTER GUARD PARENT/STUDENT MEETING THIS TUESDAY
This Tuesday, December 20th we have a mandatory Winter Guard Parent/Student Meeting at 6:00PM in Room 608 (next to the temporary Band Room). This is for parents and students of both the JV and the Varsity Winter Guards. We will have important information about our rehearsal/show schedules, donation amounts/payments, the Varsity Guard trip to WGI San Diego, and areas where we will need parent help. HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT 12/22
Our Holiday Band Concert is this Thursday, December 22nd at 7:00PM at the Whitney High School Theater. Students must be in attendance at our last two rehearsals this week to participate in the performance.
Tue 12/20 - Rehearsal 3:30-6PM
Wed 12/21 - Run-through 3:30-6PM
Thu 12/22 - Call time 5:40PM at Whitney HS / Concert 7PM
CONCERT ATTIRE: ALL BLACK AND SANTA HAT — long-sleeved, solid black button-up dress shirt, tucked in with black belt, solid black dress pants, long black socks, and black dress shoes (or polished marching band shoes). Ladies may wear a long, black concert gown (below the knees - no skirts). Please feel free to wear a Santa hat or holiday hat.

INDOOR PERCUSSION UPDATE
Our 2023 Indoor Percussion program is off to a fantastic start and students have already begun working on their production, “TWISTED.” Click here to download the information packet that was handed out at the meeting. The first donation of $200 is due Monday, January 2nd. We accept checks made payable to “Gahr Band Boosters,” cash, or click here to pay online.

FALL DONATIONS PAST DUE
The total balance of $575 for marching donations is past due. We cannot pay our instructors or for bills from production costs without your contribution. Students must also be caught up with fall donations to participate in Winter Drumline and Winter Guard. HAWAII PERFORMANCE TRIP!
We are so excited that the Gahr Band will be traveling to Hawaii this summer!! Click here to download the itinerary and payment sheet. The performance trip includes accommodations for 6 days and 5 nights, a performance at the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, a clinic at the University of Hawaii, a visit to Diamond Head State Monument, a dolphin and snorkeling excursion, a luau, and more! ALL PAYMENTS ARE MADE DIRECTLY TO WORLDSTRIDES. YOU MUST KEEP UP WITH THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS TO KEEP YOUR SPOT ON THE TRIP.
