OUTDOOR HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT THIS THURSDAY, DECEMBER 16TH AT 6:00PM AT THE GAHR HIGH SCHOOL RALLY PLATFORM! GET IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRT WITH PERFORMANCES FROM THE JAZZ BAND, COMBINED BANDS, AND ROSS MIDDLE SCHOOL. ADMISSION IS FREE!! PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS/BLANKETS AND MONEY FOR BAKED GOODS, DRINKS, AND TAMALES (WHILE THEY LAST). THERE IS A MANDATORY WINTER DRUMLINE PARENT MEETING THIS FRIDAY 12/17 AT 5:30PM IN THE BAND ROOM.

PARENT UPDATE — Thank you to everyone who came to our Winter Guard Parent Meeting last Thursday! Our Winter Drumline Parent Meeting is this Friday 12/17 at 5:30PM in the Band Room. Thank you to everyone who turned in pre-orders for tamales! Tamale pick up is this Thursday, December 16th at the Holiday Band Concert. We will also have a limited supply of tamales available for purchase at the concert, as well as baked goods and hot drinks. You can also pick up a 2022 Gahr Marching Gladiators wall calendar for just $20! This makes a great holiday gift for family and friends and is a special way to remember an incredible fall marching season.

HOLIDAY BAND CONCERT 12/16 — Our annual Holiday Band Concert is this Thursday, December 16th at 6:00PM at the Gahr HS Rally Platform! WE ARE ASKING ALL FAMILIES TO PLEASE DONATE A BAKED GOOD ITEM (COOKIES, BROWNIES, ETC.) FOR THE CONCERT. These will be sold as a bake sale to raise money for the band. Concert admission is FREE!! Please bring your own chairs/blankets, as well as money for baked goods, hot drinks, tamales, and merch including our 2022 Gahr Marching Gladiators wall calendar.

STUDENTS: Our final rehearsals are tomorrow, Tuesday 12/14 from 3-5PM and Wednesday 12/15 from 3-5:30PM. Attendance is required for these rehearsals to be part of the performance. On Thursday 12/16, we will have free pizza at 4PM for you. Concert attire is ALL BLACK — long-sleeved, solid black button-up dress shirt, tucked in with black belt, solid black dress pants, long black socks, and black dress shoes (or polished marching band shoes). Ladies may wear a long, black concert gown (below the knees - no skirts). For this concert, please wear a Santa hat or holiday hat! KEEP UP THE GOOD IMPROVEMENT AND CONTINUE PLAYING YOUR MUSIC EVERY DAY SO WE CAN HAVE A GREAT CONCERT!

WINTER DRUMLINE — Great work last week and congratulations to all the members in our 2022 Winter Drumline! This week we have two rehearsals — today, Monday 12/13 is mallets & battery from 6th period until 5PM. We will not have rehearsal Wednesday evening because of the band rehearsal. On Friday 12/17, we have rehearsal for everyone from 6th period until 5PM, followed by a mandatory Parent/Student Drumline Meeting at 5:30PM in the Band Room. We will have more detailed information about the 2022 season, including student donations, fundraisers, and the rehearsal and performance schedule.

WINTER GUARD — Congratulations to all our members in the 2022 Winter Guard! Thank you to all the parents and students who came to the meeting on Thursday last week. If you were unable to make it, please download the packet and return the Parental Consent Form to John or Mr. Loney no later than Friday 12/17. We have a normal week of after school rehearsals as we begin learning the our 2022 production — Monday 5:30-9PM and Wednesday 3-5:30PM. There is a Winter Guard Camp on Saturday 12/18 from 9AM-8PM, as well as Monday 12/20 from 9AM-8PM. Bring $10 for lunch and dinner both of these days, as well as warm clothes.

FALL DONATIONS PAST DUE — The total balance of $525 for marching donations is past due. Students must be caught up with fall donations to be part of the Winter Drumline and Winter Guard.
