COOKBOOK ORDERS DUE FRIDAY

I hope you’re having a good start to your week! The deadline to pre-order our new Gahr Marching Gladiators Cookbook is this Friday 10/16. Cookbooks are just $10 each and are packed full with over 100+ recipes from our family, friends, and alumni. Get a few extra to keep on hand for gifts and stocking stuffers! All proceeds will go towards the Gahr Instrumental Music Program.

We are starting our premium nut fundraiser next Monday, October 19th and all proceeds will be going to student accounts. This is a great way to get a head start on raising funds towards any upcoming donations for second semester. MARK YOUR CALENDAR: We are planning to combine the pick-up for both the cookbook and nut fundraiser on Saturday, November 14th in the afternoon.

COFFEE WITH THE PRINCIPAL THIS FRIDAY @ 8AM

Please join Dr. Lois for “Coffee with the Principal” this Friday, October 16th at 8AM. This is a great way to stay in the loop with what is going on. The link will be emailed out by the school.

⠀⠀

WEEKLY VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS

All students have a weekly video assignment that is posted on Google Classroom. PARENTS: Please check in on your son or daughter and make sure they are practicing, recording, and uploading their videos to Google Classroom. Video assignments are the primary way that instructors are able to give individual feedback, and they comprise 40% of your student’s grade. Thank you!

ATHLETIC CLEARANCE 🏈

All students must register through the Family ID website:
https://www.familyid.com/gahr-high-school

Once you’re registered, download the “Physical Evaluation” form. Print out the form and take it with you so the physician can complete it during your physical exam.

This is an updated list of walk-in clinics who are currently doing physicals. Call ahead to schedule an appointment, but most of the time you can get in the same day. These are typically around $20, and they usually prefer cash.

Dr. Jess J. Soria III
Phone: (562) 924-5009
Address: 19112 Gridley Rd #102, Cerritos, CA 90703

Sheila Weddle, DC, CCSP
Phone: (562) 866-8384
Address: 5687 Woodruff Ave, Lakewood, CA 90713

Dr. Richard Anderson
Phone: (562) 594-6538
Address: 10671 Los Alamitos Blvd., Los Alamitos, CA 90720

In addition to these walk-in clinics, you may also schedule an appointment with your primary care physician. This is a great way to make sure your student is current with vaccines and the latest flu shot.

After you finish your physical, upload your paperwork to the Family ID website. Because there are no competitions this first semester, you do not need to pay any transportation or ASB fees at this point. Please note that you will need to pay these fees if competitions resume second semester. Let me know if you have any other questions.
