MAYFAIR MONSOON CLASSIC & PHOTO DAY!
Congratulations to the Gahr Marching Gladiators on an incredible debut of our 2023 field show production, “On Top of Spaghetti” at the Costa Mesa Invitational. Gahr took 1st place in Division 5A and overall Tournament Sweepstakes! Thank you to the amazing parents who helped both at the home game on Friday and the tournament Saturday. We would especially like to thank the parents who haven’t been in the bleachers – pushing on and off equipment, props, working concessions at the football game, and so much more. The students and the field show production would not be possible without your hard work and active involvement.
PARENTS: We have our monthly Booster Meeting this Tuesday 10/10 at 6:30PM in Room 509. Meetings are welcoming, friendly, and we would love to see you there! Please click here to sign up to help this Saturday at the Mayfair Monsoon Classic Field Tournament (held at Bellflower HS).
STUDENTS: We’ve got another big rehearsal week as we get the ballad on the field for the competition this Saturday. Keep practicing and reviewing daily so you can be individually prepared. Continue to stay on top of your homework, keep hydrated, and eat throughout the day.
OUTSTANDING DONATIONS – The last donation of $150 was due Friday, October 6th. AT THIS POINT, ALL DONATIONS ARE PAST DUE. We accept checks made payable to “Gahr Band Boosters,” cash, or you can pay online with a credit card. ALL COLOR GUARD MEMBERS MUST BE CAUGHT UP WITH DONATIONS TO RECEIVE THEIR COSTUME THIS WEEK. We cannot pay our instructional staff and production costs without your donation. Please communicate with Mr. Loney or Mr. Miller if you have any issues.
BAND & GUARD PHOTO DAY – This Saturday 10/14, we will also be taking band and color guard photos after our morning rehearsal/run-through. Make sure you fill out the order form your student received in class or print out the form below. Turn in the form and money DIRECTLY TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER (not to Mr. Loney or Mr. Miller). Students also have the option to take a “buddy photo” for $5 PER PERSON in the photo. Please note that each person in the buddy photo must also purchase a photo package.
